I came across this funny little article/post about the Swine Flu which you can read here and I just had to chuckle. Seems like since this latest economic downturn, the american media has been on a roll (more so than usual) with all the messages of doom and gloom. What with all the news about car makers going down the tubes all, all the jobs being lost, your 401ks turning to .401ks , banks going belly up, etc, etc, one would think the end is very near. Well, the reality is, that as I was coming in to work, I did not see any walking zombies, my bank was still open, I saw a brand new Camaro and most people were going to work, well at least 92.4% of them were (excluding the rich of course), and my 401k, well that’s still a .401k but I still have about 20 years to build that back up assuming the Swine Flu don’t get me . So it seems the real world is a tad bit better off than CNN world. To add more good news to your day, did I mention the New Moon Twilight Poster is out?!?!?!?!?!
